The Illinois Workers Compensation Commission recently cut over to their new, completely electronic filing portal named CompFile. One of the changes that may impact your internal processes is the “Call Sheets” schedule for Status calls. This information used to be available in a ‘click to download’ file that has been changed to a new user interface that can require dramatically more files to download – even for small to medium firms.
To reduce the required time, Mercury developed a process that can download and parse the call sheets schedule without user intervention and store them in a much more user-friendly format. This can then be used to integrate into your firm’s other processes or data storage formats for case-based information.
For example, one firm we work with would have needed to download the files for 86 separate Territory/Arbitrator combinations for their current case call information. This would need to be repeated daily to get the latest line number (call order) details for upcoming status calls. Even at a couple of minutes per download, our process saves them at least three hours of staff time per day.
